Terms of service

Effective

This document is a draft awaiting legal review. It describes what the site does today and is not legal advice.

These terms apply to every service CcinoCode provides and to use of ccinocode.com. CcinoCode is a partnership operating remotely from Sri Lanka. By accepting a quote you agree to these terms. Contact for anything here is info@ccinocode.com or WhatsApp +94 76 781 4281.

What services do these terms cover?

Web development, content writing, basic SEO, Generative Engine Optimization, GenAI UI/UX design, Google Analytics setup, care plans, and the free AI visibility check, each as described on the relevant page of this site at the time of the quote.

How do quotes and scope work?

Every job starts with a written quote that states the scope: the page list, the features, the services included, the timeline and the price. The quote is the agreement. Anything not in the quote is not included, and work added after acceptance is quoted separately and scheduled after the current job.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date sent.

When does the timeline start?

The delivery timeline in the quote is counted from day zero, which is the day CcinoCode receives all the content and brand assets listed in the content checklist and confirms in writing that the build has started. It is not counted from the date of the quote, acceptance or deposit. Delays in supplying content, answering questions, choosing a design direction or providing access extend the timeline by the same number of working days.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Sri Lankan public holidays.

What do you need to provide?

The content and access listed in the content checklist and the quote, on or before day zero. You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything you supply, including text, images, logos and testimonials, and that none of it infringes anyone else's rights or breaks any law. CcinoCode may decline to publish material it reasonably believes is unlawful or infringing.

How do revisions work?

Each build includes one structured revision round: you review the complete site once and send all changes together, and CcinoCode applies them. Changes that fall within the quoted scope are included. Changes that alter the scope, such as new pages, new features or a change of design direction after it has been chosen, are quoted separately.

Minor fixes to defects reported within 7 days of launch are included at no charge.

How does payment work?

Payment terms, currency and method are stated in the quote. Unless the quote says otherwise, a deposit is due before day zero and the balance is due on launch. Care plans are billed monthly in advance. Invoices unpaid 14 days after the due date may result in work being paused or the site being taken offline until payment is received.

Who owns the website?

You do, once the balance is paid. On full payment CcinoCode assigns to you the rights in the design, code and content it created for your project, and transfers the domain, hosting and analytics accounts to your ownership where they were set up by CcinoCode. Until full payment, CcinoCode retains ownership and may withhold delivery.

CcinoCode retains the right to reuse general techniques, components and tooling that are not specific to your business, and to show the finished site in its portfolio unless you ask in writing that it does not.

Third-party materials, such as fonts, stock images and open-source software, remain under their own licences, which are passed on to you.

What about third-party services?

Sites are hosted on Vercel, forms are delivered through Resend, and analytics run on Google Analytics. These are provided by their operators under their own terms, and CcinoCode is not responsible for their availability, pricing changes or policies. Where an account is in your name, you are responsible for its fees.

What does CcinoCode promise, and what does it not?

CcinoCode promises to deliver the scope in the quote, with reasonable skill and care, within the timeline counted from day zero. CcinoCode does not promise specific search rankings, specific mentions by AI assistants, specific traffic or specific enquiry volumes, because these depend on factors outside its control. The AI visibility check is provided free, as is, without warranty.

What is CcinoCode's liability?

To the extent the law allows, CcinoCode's total liability for any claim arising from a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. CcinoCode is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business or lost data, or for loss caused by content you supplied, by third-party services, or by changes you or others make to the site after handover. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

How can either side end the agreement?

You may cancel a build before day zero for a full refund of any deposit less costs already incurred. After day zero, cancellation is by written notice; work done to that date is payable and any deliverables completed are handed over on payment. Care plans may be cancelled by either side with one month's written notice. CcinoCode may end an agreement immediately if payment is overdue by more than 30 days or if you ask it to publish unlawful material.

Use of this website

The content of ccinocode.com is CcinoCode's unless stated otherwise and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Quoting with attribution is welcome. The site is provided as is; CcinoCode does not warrant that it is error-free or always available.

Which law applies?

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction, unless the quote states otherwise for a client outside Sri Lanka. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Changes to these terms

Terms may be updated; the effective date at the top changes when they are. The terms in force on the date of your quote apply to that job.
